This handset, first unveiled last week, is ZTE's third high-end TD-SCDMA mobile handset model and will soon be available in the market. The two other previous models were the U980 and U981.The U990 has a transmission rate of up to 2.8 Mbps and supports dual mode TD-SCDMA/EDGE allowing seamless transition between the two networks. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.0, is 3G and EDGE-enabled and equipped with both GPS/AGPS navigation technologies.
